Anglia Ruskin University was founded by William John Beamont in 1858 as the Cambridge School of Art. It changed status to a university in 1992 and was renamed Anglia Ruskin in 2005 after John Ruskin (an artist, critic and social reformer of the victorian era).Anglia Ruskin University
